Ride down to the Vancouver Convention Center

Personal

Escape

To evade the computer and any house work Tuesday night, I jumped on the bike and peddled into downtown. Stricly sticking to road which lead me alongside east side harbor, I was able to find a couple new places to photograph. If you’re all about the urban exploration like myself, I recommend venturing into unfamiliar territory once in a while – you’ll be surprised what you’ll find!

I’ve been hearing so much about this newly created Convention Center for the 2010 winter games I went down to investigate it with my own eyes. If you haven’t already made the trip down, I recommend you do! The place is a work of art; great place to grab lunch or dinner and watching the happenings of the inlet. Structurly unique and begging for a photo shoot the lighting was novel in it’s own right, providing pockets of  light and an abyss of dark shadows for contrast.

The actual architecture stood out in it’s own right, but with a subject in place – like my bike it was hard not to find a good angle.
Here’s an array of images I captured during the ride down and at the convention center.

So I know I didn’t leave you with any concrete information about the convention center, but don’t worry, I’ve provided a couple links below for you to read and look through -
