UBC has become THE popular place to shoot engagements for me. Lots of couples meet on campus and continue to grow their relationship from there. University life is a big time commitment in building a solid future for yourself, but along the way you may even meet someone who’s looking to join in on the experience.
Priscilla and Will are a pretty cute couple looking to relive those young love days: the days these two would have their eyes focused on the books, but their minds on each other.
I haven’t exhausted every nook and cranny at UBC but with every shoot, the day or light can make the biggest difference. Never get comfortable with the location. Always explore outside it.

The university campus is just a wonderfully beautiful and diverse place with plenty of potential shooting locations. And yes, as you mention, it’s oftentimes where the couples first met and/or developed their relationships. With the importance of post-secondary life, you can see why UBC would be so important and impactful in their lives. I know it was for my (now) wife and I.
I’m glad that even though you’ve shot several couples (us included) at UBC, every shoot is different and has a different spin. The staircase pic of Koerner Library is pretty neat!
