    Shy Brothers (Ben and Mike) contacted me a couple weeks ago looking to update their look with a clean and fresh look. With their new album release just around the corner, it was time to get these two into a studio and plan out a final look for the covers.
    I’m keeping the post to more a teaser. I wouldn’t want to release any photographs that might not be used in production. It lets me keep the post simple and clean this time around anyway.

    During my attendance at IMF 2010, I snagged a couple of the flyers to show samples already in print.

    Dooms Night – Halloween 2009

    Solid Entertainment presents to you their yearly Halloween rave event “Dooms Night”.

    Before the event I enquired about the stage layout and decided to rent an ultra-wide 14mm f2.8 II. On a side note, why does this lens offer less and cost more compared to the 85 f1.2 and 24 f1.4? Anyway, glad I did because the stage was cramped! Setting up the flashes was a bit tricky as well.

    Excluding Shy Brothers, the Euros stole the show on the main stage. Now, let’s get on with the photos!

    Solid Entertainment is a professional and dedicated company located in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The company has been operating for over 7 years now and currently spearheads Vancouver’s electronic dance scene with their annual high caliber massive events.  In addition, Solid Entertainment has their own record label “Solid Records” with their very own exclusive producers, “Shy Brothers”.

    Fusion Dreams 2009

    Friday I got this amazing opportunity to photograph the Shy Brothers and Paul Van Dyk at Fusion Dreams for Solid Entertainment.  Kieran, a close friend of mine who co-runs Minty Fresh Studios are in the progress of restructuring the Shy Brothers’ web site and asked me to cover the event for their new launch.
