The month of April has been very good to me in terms of my work getting out into the public, if not directly then through another provider. It’s a great feeling and hope that more work in the near future becomes of it.

I was happy to hear back from Paul Van Dyk’s crew about a banner that went up at the Miami Airport. Two are better then one :D

Raveline, a German magazine which features a two photos, cover and mix sessions of Paul Van Dyk when he played in Vancouver the day before the start of the 2010 Olympics. Not a photo I would have personally chosen but it works as a cover.

And finally Megaphone magazine, a Vancouver Street Paper sold on the streets by homeless and low-income vendors. All money from the transaction goes into the pocket of the vendor. Those that sell the paper say it gives them a sense of pride and has helped some overcome drug and alcohol addiction, others shyness and insecurity, by giving them a place and a voice in their community. Welcome to the first Fine Art Category!

On here I’ll be featuring photos with more of artistic spin and creative bond between complementary photographs. As I focus more in this realm, I hope to produce pieces with a bit more connection to emotion,  story or a place in time.

    I present, “Faces of Jaisalmer”

It was great working with the same crew as last year, with our new comer Christyn M Hall  (photo on the right).
We didn’t focus as much on the photos this time, but more on the video. The videos really helped show customers how the flexible the Wrap Bandeau can really be.

Make sure to check out the bloopers reel at the end as well!

Something new featured on Vivvo’s is the new video segments about the Wrap (shot, colour graded and editing by me as well)

It was great working with Kathy from (Vivvos) last year, so when I heard she was launching a new line and I was invited to photograph, there was no hesitation! If this type of work came in every week, it would become impossible to ever imagine working at a desk job again! I mean, to end up in a free flowing creative environment with gorgeous talented models, a patio and a beautiful sunny day, that’s some hard work!

But wait, not only does this shoot come loaded with photos, videos as well! Stay tuned for the full post.

I spent a wonderful evening photographing Janisse and Justin at the Rose Garden in Stanley Park!

It couldn’t have been a better day to pick it because the blossoms were at full bloom and shedding petals everywhere. Now when I think about it, I should’ve had my lovely assistant gather up a whole bunch and make it rain – save that next year!

No better way to start off the wedding season than engagement photos with my friends Suman and Mario. Once these two warmed up to there picture being taken, there was no stopping them. We took them around Vancouver’s beautiful Gastown and once we got down all the important photos, the rest were all fun!
