BASF 2009 Calendar release
Mark Greenberg’s famous 1955 Porsche Spyder made another appearance but this time on the BASF: Chemical Company Calendar.
Yours truly of course got the honor to photograph the car right here in Vancouver’s beautiful False Creek area. How did I get on the seawall you ask? Well lets just say you have to get up mighty early to get away with something like this! The photography they chose wasn’t all that flattering either. Reason why as a backup I also snapped a couple famous scenic pictures from Granville Island which I thought would have been chosen over the seawall photo. With such tight control over size/angle/page fitment, the choices were restrictive. When photographing any scenic composition, a narrow view would never come up in the vocabulary.
Hope BASF finds another car out in Vancouver for next years calendar so I could have another try at it
