Say Hi to Lisa and Russell. To start, both were not use to getting their photo taken and to be honest, Russell steered clear of all cameras!
I quote, “I don’t like getting my photo taken so I don’t know why I’m here” – Russell
Mike and I knew we’d have our work cut out for us – but that’s no problem because we’re use to these types of situations. Slowly, yet surely the communication was expressive and the shots only a means of getting them to settle. With enough room and trust, they were feeling less actors and more themselves. At the end of it, Russell really enjoyed the shoot.
Success!
Photo was taken in Yaletown along Marinaside Crescent.

Say hello to Arisa and Josh, a couple from Toronto, Ontario.
Thanks to a referral, Arisa was delighted to see our work and get a hold of me for a session once she came to Vancouver.
With a few emails back and forth we booked a time, made sure to prep for the Raincouver weather and plotted a few locations around Stanley Park.
As Mike and I photographed Arisa and Josh, her father took photos of us taking photos of them – how delightful, but I hope we don’t have to pay him for the photos

Emanuel Sandhu eagerly awaits backstage as he’s presented with FMA’s Outstanding Contribution to Canada award during the Award Gala at Club 560 in Vancouver.
Emanuel Sandhu is a Canadian figure skater, three-time Canadian national champion, 2 time Olympian and the 2004 Grand Prix champion. He was a contestant on So You Think you Can Dance Canada finishing in the Top 6 as the third placed male dancer.

Cannon Beach is a place of peace and relaxation for me. It has so much sentimental value that I’ll never stop coming here.
I wish I could photograph a wedding here one day, maybe even have my own in the future.
Lets keep this short, it’s more of a creative post than anything.
