Two nights ago I met up with a client to discuss about her bare wall dilemma. Lets face it, we’ve all experienced it; or will experience the pain of decorating the living space. Linda was looking to purchasing art for her wall but was seeking advice before pulling the trigger on a purchase. Her most imporant concern about photo(s) were it had fit with earth tone apartment colours and hopefully feature trees as the main subject. Once at home, I put together these three examples using just my iphone and photoshop to composite photos like they were prints – adjusted colours, left a drop shadow, faked light fall off and tada!

Things you should know before printing:

  • Remember to take measurements
  • Sample colours of your living room
  • Use print shops as your reference to build an understanding of all the different types of printing methods
  • Lastly creating a mock up helps in determining an initial if not final output before throwing down big bucks on something you won’t know until you’ve created it! If you aren’t that tech/art savy, ask a friend who’s more familiar with the software. I bet you 8/10, a friend you know used photoshop.

I’d like to share with you a wedding slideshow I put together yesterday for Jzabela and Rolando.  Comments are appreciated so don’t be scared to leave any!

The Sexy Shower Lips

Taken 4 years ago right here at home in the shower with a Canon 20D.
You had to have been here to see it! Steamy shower scene, water all on the floor, condensation building up within the flashes and camera!
ALL WORTH IT!

The photos were a great success! Now as the rest of the webpage/catalog come together, I’m going to leave you with a premier sneak peak of the photos themselves and a couple videos as well.

A couple nights before the shoot, Kathy and I met up to discuss location and look. It wasn’t until I walked into her beautiful West Vancouver crib, that I knew it was going to be the spot to photo the whole layout. Thanks to it’s clean layout, big windows and open design, everything from the patio overlooking the inlet to the kitchen table were used for the final output. Thanks to Ramin from Base-10, the team behind the webpage and advertisement for Vivvos, Shauna Eve the beautiful model and Kathy, owner of Vivvos Fashion – without them this project couldn’t have gone any smoother and all within a four hour time frame.

I’m going to leave you with a couple more photos and some in progress videos from my Nokia E71.
